1 - Acropolis Parthenon - This is a fifth century BC temple
complex. The most famous surviving building of ancient Greece
and regarded as one of the world's greatest cultural monuments.
2 - Coliseum of Rome - It was built in the first century to
entertain the masses with Gladiator fights. The arena is more
than 2000 years old.
3 - Fjords of Norway - One must see the "Fjords of Norway",
the longest, deepest, narrowest and most beautiful in the
world. They are best viewed from a ship
4 - Pompeii - This was a 2000 years old city (Rome Naples)
that was buried under volcanic ash and was forgotten for over
1500 years. Much of it is now excavated.
5 - Versailles - Formerly the de facto capital of the kingdom
of France, is now a wealthy suburb of paris and is still an
important administrative and judicial center.
6 - St. Peter's Basilica - Vatican city, Artistically designed
"Church" is the religious heart of Roman Catholics
worldwide. You'll find Michelangelo's beautiful Picta marble
statue.
7 - Sistine Chapel - The official residence of the Pope. Home
of Michelangelo's Masterpiece frescos "Genesis"
and "The last judgment". Cardinals convene here
to select new Popes.
8 - Alhambra - This is an ancient palace and fortress complex
of the "Moorish" monarchs of Granada in southern
Spain. It is currently a museum exhibiting exquisite Islamic
architecture.
9 - Louvre Museum - Considered one of the greatest museums
in the world. Famous masterpieces here include "Leonardo
da Vince's (Mona Lisa) and the Hellenistic "Venus De
Milo" marble statue.
10 - Canals of Venice - Is the most important waterway in
Venice. It forms one of the major water traffic corridors
in the city. Public transportation is provided by the water
bus and by private water taxis.
