1 - Pyramids of Egypt - Huge structures built
of brick, considered among the largest man made construction.
Considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World and most
Egyptians were buried here
2 - Sahara Desert - The world's largest hot
desert, almost as large as USA, located in North Africa, it
is about 3500 square miles. The highest temperature ever recorded
was 136 degrees F. in 1922. Despite the heat, people still
live in this desert.
3 - Victoria Falls - Located in Zambia and
Zimbabwe on the Zambezi River, Victoria falls is one of the
world's two powerful falls. Its rim is 330 feet high and 1
mile long.
4 - Safari - Refers to a trip by tourists
to Africa, traditionally for a big game hunt and in more modern
times to watch and photograph big game and other wildlife
as a safari holiday.
5 - Ngorongoro Crater - Located in Tanzania,
The crater is the world's largest unbroken volcanic "Caldera".
It is on the vast floor of an ancient collapsed volcano that
is home to wild Safari animals. The crater is 610 meters deep
and the floor is 260 square kilometers.
6 - Nile River Cruise - The best way to
explore ancient Egypt! For over five thousand years, the Nile
has been the life blood of Egypt. Step a board the "Nile
River Cruise" and experience the wealth of Egyptian history.
7 - Timbuktu - This is a city in Mali, West
Africa. It was an intellectual and spiritual capital and center
for the propagation of Islam throughout Africa in the 15th
and 16th centuries.
8 - Egyptian Museum – Its many rooms
house treasured antiquities, the king "Tutankhamen"
room is the most popular. The Egyptian museum also has a mummy
room which openly displays several Pharaohs.
9 - Karnak Temple - Located in Egypt, The
temple was the leading Egyptian spiritual center several thousand
years ago. The complex was built along the Nile and is very
large.
10 - Abu Simbel - Four immense statues of
the great Egyptian Pharaoh Rameses protect the entrance to
his Abu Simbel temple overlooking river Nile.
