1 - London Eye - One of the world’s
most popular tourist attractions, the London Eye is world's
largest observation wheel. At the top of the wheel you can
see a breathtaking 360 degree view of London.
2 - Buckingham Palace - Buckingham Palace
is the Queen's residence. The state rooms are open to visitors.
Changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace is a must see and
takes place at 11:30 am.
3 - St Paul's Cathedral - St Paul’s
Cathedral was build by Sir Christopher Wren and was the location
of Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s wedding. This
famous Cathedral is full of history and beauty.
4 - Tower of London - The Tower of London
is one of the most famous structures in the world and is where
the Crown Jewels are housed. There are many exhibitions and
re-enactments depicting London’s rich history.
5 - Stonehenge - the mysterious standing
stones of Stonehenge are a must see. The stones have stood
there for over 5000 years and have caused a lot of speculation
and wonder.
6 - Museum of London - The Museum of London
has seven permanent galleries and is the perfect place to
visit to learn about London’s history.
7 - British Museum - World-famous museum
of human history and culture. Some of its famous exhibits
include the Rosetta Stone, the Easter Island statue, and the
earliest known image of Christ.
8 - Richmond Park - Richmond Park is home
to the Queen's herds of red and fallow deer. Enjoy a quiet
stroll through this beautiful park with its rolling hills
and open meadows.
9 - Trafalgar Square - You cannot leave London
without visiting Trafalgar Square. Come and be in awe at Nelson's
Column and the four huge lion statues. Within walking distance
are the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery.
10 - Houses of Parliament - The House of
Parliament is only a short walk from Trafalgar Square. The
building is stunning and has a clock tower that chimes every
15 minutes. Tours are available during August and September.
